This is a good start! You've done well on the diffuse map; the colors blend together well and like Pomegranate-RainWing said, the scales are a nice touch. However, I'd draw in some detail around the mouth, so it's easier to tell where and what it is. I'd also consider adding in a bump map to give the scales some more texture and depth. A specularity map could also help, so the highlighting isn't so flat and uniform.
The sculpting you've done on the neck and brow-ridges (probably not the right term, but I hope it's still clear what I mean) above the eyes are also some nice details. The eyes are done nicely as well, and I've noticed you've made the irises concave as opposed to flat, which many often forget to do. You may want to try modeling in a cornea and setting up the material on that to shine and reflect, instead of just adding the highlight on the diffuse map next time, however.
